Daily activity:

Thursday: water temp 85.5 SW 9-12mph in the a.m. / 86.2 SW 10-15mph in the p.m.  The water was clean. Three King Mackerel hooked but only Brenda landed hers. “Flipper” was present. There was a good Spanish Mackerel bite near the middle of the pier. George shows one he decked. Big Bonita, like this one Will got, were caught as well.

 


 

 

 

Friday: water temp 86.2 WSW 12-15mph in the a.m. / 88.9 WSW 10-13mph in the p.m. The water was clean. Tyler from Kentucky caught a King on a live sardine.

 

 


Saturday: water temp 86.7 N 5-7mph in the a.m. / 89.1 WSW 10-15mph in the p.m. The water was clean. A Sailfish was hooked and broken off, A few Bonita in the morning. Spanish Mackerel and a few small King Mackerel, A few Cigar Minnows and Alewives were available for live bait.


Sunday: water temp 86.9 ESE 5-9mph in the a.m. / 86.4 SE 12-15mph in the p.m. Thunderstorms most of the morning. A few Spanish Mackerel and a couple of small King Mackerel. Several Bonita were decked.

  

Monday: water temp 84.6 SE 13-18mph in the a.m. / 84.4 N 2-5mph in the p.m. Water was mostly clean on the end. Shallows were thick with June grass. The morning saw several King Mackerel with a couple approaching 20 pounds. The Bonita bite was good, and they were big. Brenda holds a couple she caught. There were some Cigar minnows, Spanish Sardine and Alewives available for live bait.

 

 


Tuesday: water temp 85.1 NNE 5-7mph in the a.m. / 86.0 W 7-10mph in the p.m. The water was clean. More morning thunderstorms greeted the anglers but that didn’t stop them. Bonita were the game this morning. Here are a couple that Jesse and Will decked that were 12.45 pounds and 9.9 pounds. There were some Spanish Mackerel but “Flipper” was being a pest.

 

 

  

 

Wednesday: water temp 85.3 NE 5mph in the a.m. / 86.0 NE 3-8mph in the p.m.  Spanish Mackerel were caught in the morning. Here is one Kim decked. There were Bonita off the end and Ladyfish in the shallows.

 

 


Red Tide status: INorthwest Florida over the past week, K. brevis was not observed.
